I Come From the Land Down Under

Sydney, Australia, is home to the world-renowned Opera House, the spectacular Blue Mountains, and popular destinations such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Aquarium. If you are planning an Australia holiday, a great way to begin your vacation is to arrive in Sydney and go from there. Flights to Sydney, Australia, fly into Sydney Airport, or Kingsford Smith, and domestic flights fly out from Sydney and into all major Australian cities.
Cosmopolitan Sydney has a great deal to offer its visitors, from warm sandy beaches to bustling shopping districts. Fashionable boutiques and trendy cafes add a touch of lively warmth and colour to quaint historic districts. Once in Sydney, you can choose to visit one of Australia's other major cities, from arty-Melbourne to the colourful, glittering skyline of Perth. There's plenty to see and do with your first Aussie experience. Go sightseeing in the museums and gardens, explore the art galleries and theatres, shop with friends, and dance all night long in trendy clubs and venues. Try authentic Australian cuisines or the freshest seafood at the chicest city restaurants.
Once you've tried the city Aussie, you simply must try the outback Aussie to experience the varied and quite amusing contrast. Unlike many people's preconceptions, the Australian outback isn't a giant desert filled with hazardous creatures. It's a beautiful awe-inspiring land, filled with natural wonders to kick-off your holiday adventures, from Uluru to the Devil's Marbles and from Katherine Gorge to Kakadu. If you're a hobbiest, you'll love the action-packed thrills you can find abseiling, skiing, or even just bushwalking as you explore the outback at its loveliest.
Once you've savoured all you can of Australia's vibrant metropolitan cities and rugged outback towns, you've only got one thing left to do: Sprawl out on one of Australia's hundreds of kilometres of warm, sandy beaches to soak up some sun, go surfing or swimming, and enjoy the laid-back beachy vibe before you head back home.

48 Hours in Sydney

Are you planning a trip to Sydney? There are plenty of Sydney travel and accommodation options!
Sydney, Australia, is a spectacular cosmopolitan city with sunny beaches, a vibrant nightlife, and lively shopping districts, but if you only had 48 hours in Sydney, what would you do? While it may seem difficult to narrow your options down, there are a few activities that are simply must-dos. Here are our picks for a short stop in Sydney.
1. The Sydney Bridge Climb
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a Sydney icon, and several bridge climbs are available to meet the needs of our visitors. No visit to Sydney would be complete without this view-to-remember of Sydney Harbour.
2. The ferry from Circular Quay to Manly
This 30 minute cruise displays some of the best scenery Sydney Harbour has to offer, including the opera house, the bridge, the Gap, and sailboats, all closer than you have ever seen before.
3. A walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens
If you have travelled a long distance to reach Sydney, a little rest and relaxation may be in order, and the Royal Botanic Gardens is just the place for you to find it. Take a stroll through this place of natural beauty and peace. While you're there, spend some time learning more about our plants and conservation efforts.
4. A beer in the Rocks
Sydney began at the Rocks. Come and enjoy a beer here and soak in the ambiance. Take some time to learn more about the history of our amazing city before you move on to your next activity.
5. A walk and swim, weather permitting, at Bondi
Bondi may just be one of the most famous beaches in the world. No visit to Sydney would be complete without a dip in its blue waves or a stroll along its sandy shores.

Do children care where they stay on holidays?
Parents with older children may often feel they are no longer involved in their kids’ lives. Teens especially seem to spend extensive periods of time on their iPhones sending sms messages to their friends, checking their Facebook pages, and Tweeting all their latest updates. Is family time even relevant any more for older children?
Even though kids begin to separate from their parents, blossoming into their new-found identities and independence, they will still need mum and dad for years to come. Studies have shown that parents are one of the most significant influences on a child’s behaviour, even throughout the teen years. Teens who feel close to their parents are even less likely to engage in risky behaviours like smoking.
If your family’s daily lives are a whirlwind of iPads, iPods, cell phones, and social networking, a family vacation to a resort or furnished apartment in Sydney can bring back the closeness your kids crave. Your kids can enjoy a wealth of fun, unique experiences while making new friends.
Family vacation spots with a variety of activities are essential to maintaining happy kids. Hiking through the mountains, abseiling, snorkelling, scuba diving, or just enjoying the sandy beaches with others their age is sure to keep any kid off their mobiles and engaged with their friends and family.
Keep your kids' spirits high by planning vacation activities that will suit them. Many resorts offer spa treatments perfect for mother-daughter outings, while a rousing paintball game can be fun for the whole family. A furnished apartment offers your family all the comforts of home, including cable access and plasma screen tvs. With broadband internet access, no matter how far they are from home, your kids can chat with their friends in a moment.
Don’t avoid going on family vacation out of fear your kids will turn surly or spend all their time hooked up to their favourite high tech toys. Take them to a busy, activity-filled vacation spot and watch them blossom.

Sydney Accommodation: Where to Stay?
Finding a place to stay in Sydney isn't the problem--just the opposite!
Accommodations are abundant; there’s a place for every taste and type of traveller, varying widely in cost and quality—hotels, motels, serviced apartments and furnished rentals, backpacker hostels, caravan parks, and campsites.
How do you choose? Consider why you’re heading to Sydney in the first place.
A friend’s daughter hit the backpacker hostel circuit. She’d spent 24 years in the same US city, so she was eager to experience another culture with people her own age. She needed a safe place to sleep and wasn't so concerned about luxury or privacy, but did care about stretching her dollars. At her age, the world’s a beach and new friends and a fresh adventure every morning, and Sydney offers heaps of each.
She stays at one hostel for a few days, several weeks, or sometimes a month, then moves on to try another one. There’s always a cafĂ© and public transportation close by. The 4-month plan morphed into a one-year plan; “homestays” across Australia may be the next step.
On our first trip, a friend and I had four days to see as much of the iconic Sydney as possible. This meant staying close in the CBD. We found a no-frills, clean motel a 20-minute walk away from Circular Quay, the Rocks, and Opera House. No car meant public transportation had to be accessible—no worries. We had our choice of ferries, buses, and taxis.
The accommodation suited our goal perfectly, and we left Sydney with heaps of photos and beat feet after all the trekking. Perhaps when I come with my husband, we’ll spend less time on the streets and instead splurge on a hotel room with luxury linens and a harbour view.
Let’s say I returned to Sydney with family in tow. I’d probably select a serviced apartment or furnished rental close to Darling Harbour, in order to cook meals and save money for tourist attractions.
Or, if we had a couple of weeks and our own transportation, we’d stay at a caravan park on the fringes of Sydney. The cost is reasonable, there’s space for children to roam, and, we could gather around the barbie after exploring all day. If we were short on cash and particularly ambitious, we could camp instead and enjoy the same facilities.
Want to skip the migraine? Nail down the number one goal of your trip, determine your budget and comfort quotient, how much time you have, how important accessibility to public transport and internet connection is, then decide on the type of accommodation you need. Regardless, you'll have plenty from which to choose.

A Day in the Blue Mountains

When you think of Australia, you think of the big cities, the Sydney Opera House, downtown Melbourne, and you think of the Outback. Visit Katoomba and you'll see a whole other side of Australia.
With a population of around eight thousand people, Katoomba rests in the Blue Mountains, one of the most breathtaking parts of the country. You may think of the deserts and the cliffs and the beaches when you think of Australia, but the Blue Mountains are more akin to the landscapes of Oregon and Washington. Lush, green and gorgeous.
Something of a resort town, Katoomba is a great spot to visit on your trip to Sydney. Stop by in town for lunch and then take the cable Skyway across Jamison Valley, or hike the famous Six Foot Track, which takes you to the Jenolan Caves and across the Megalong Valley.
While much of the town is home to workers in the tourism industry (alongside retirees, artists and those living alternative lifestyles), Katoomba has actually been pretty resistant to development, even with the increase in visitors in the last year or so. This increase may be explained simply by the fact that people who visit Australia are now looking for something more than the typical visits to Sydney and the Outback.
The town has gotten a little busier in recent years, especially around the big travel seasons, so if you want to check it out, you'll probably want to do so soon, before it becomes the next big tourist spot. For now, Katoomba and the Blue Mountains are still a well-kept secret, so if you find yourself in or around Sydney, you may want to book a visit to Katoomba at the very next opportunity.

O'Farrell and Liberal Party a Must-Win
Barry O’Farrell has to win, and here is why.
He is running on a strong campaign, promising to rebuild the economy, protect the environment, and install much-needed infrastructure. Granted, every politician has their promises, but after the Labor Party has time and again failed to address these issues, I have to wonder: Can anybody take the Labor Party seriously anymore?
Consider an article in the Sydney Morning Herald this morning that, “THE Labor Party's national secretary must seek permission from the ruling executive before going into debt after the post-election review found a $10 million hole in party finances was a contributing factor in the disastrous election campaign last year.” May I observe that they run a campaign like they run a country?
In an age where most countries are in debt, it is easy to promise reform but difficult to bring actual change, a fact which the Labor Party has repeatedly shown. And their scandals continue. In our new age of Hollywood politics—look at what Sarah Palin has become to America, or far worse, what Berlusconi has done for the political realm in Italy—these scandals are taking the focus off of the issues that should really matter.
One of those issues, which I think that almost all fellow Australians would judge to be of supreme importance, is the question of whether or not a state government should be given any sovereignty. This is a prime example of an issue that has been ignored by the present party for years now. It is, though, a legitimate argument requiring a legitimate discussion.
Only if the Liberal Party and Barry O’Farrell take power in NSW will the important issues be brought to the forefront in order to be addressed. If that fails to happen, we could be in for another Political Circus, Australian-style.

What a time in Sydney!

Australia was a place I had never been. It seemed logical to go for a visit. It also seemed like a good idea, because I had a new friend living near Sydney. I read all the brochures, searched the internet “dry,” and then made my plans for the vacation of a lifetime. I expected good things and that is exactly what I got, although I could refer to some of the events as not just good, but great.
Getting an acceptable airfare and hotel rate, I made specific plans for sites and activities in Sydney itself. I still had my feet on the ground, but everything was in the “works.” The air flight was long and uneventful. As we approached our destination, the Australian landscape was a very beautiful sight. Getting off the plane at the Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, I saw my friend immediately. I was told that this airport was the oldest in the world.
The weather was warm and sunny. The harbour waters were crystalline blue. Looking all around, I finally checked into my Sydney accommodation with Furnished Properties. The apartment was moderately priced and in a good location to venture off in various directions. My friend and I ate luscious seafood and drank tea at a lovely restaurant, where we sat at a sidewalk table.
For two weeks, we dined and danced, drank at different pubs, and did plenty of exploration. Seeing my first kangaroo was awesome. We went to the Art Gallery and several museums and lingered in shops on two occasions.
I did not want to leave, but I am glad that I rented a modestly priced room. With the money I saved, I will return to Sydney, Australia for another adventure.

The History of Parramatta
Although aboriginal people such as the Darug had made the New South Wales their home for generations, it was not until 1788 that Parramatta was founded by European settlers. The British colony in nearby Sydney Cove needed additional food supplies for the soldiers, administrators, and convicts who had arrived in January of that year. The site of present-day Parramatta was selected as the location of a farming settlement that could supply this need. James Ruse, a convict who had arrived with the First Fleet, was granted land in Parramatta with the proviso that he must turn it into a successful farm. He did, and his land became known as Experiment Farm.
Parramatta grew rapidly; the population in 1792 consisted of nearly two thousand people, which was 40% higher than the population of Sydney itself. By the 1790s, Parramatta was producing a steady supply of both grain and wool. Early farms included the Grose Farm, the Annandale Estate and the Petersham Estate.
The first waves of settlers in Parramatta arrived there via river, but by the late 1790s a permanent road had been established. Stagecoach service on this road began in the 1820s, but fell into disfavour when a railway route opened. The road became busy again in the 1920s with the introduction of the motor car.
As one of the earliest settlements in Australia, Parramatta is home to the oldest public building still in existence on the continent, Old Government House. It was used as either a main residence or a retreat by governors of Australia as late as the 1850s. Parramatta is also home to the oldest prison in Australia, Parramatta Gaol, which once incarcerated the infamous murderer Neddy Smith.
Due to the continued growth of nearby Sydney, today Parramatta is a suburb of that city.

The new government policy for Australian banking
The world economy seems to be steadying itself. World market indexes are at a 2 year high, viable sources say that the job market is set for a rebound, and news outlets say that governments seem to be winning the battle with inflation. With economic conditions such as these, political conditions should naturally follow suit. However, many politicians often use times of crisis to cement their hold over the resources of nations, and this crisis will probably be no different. Political power wants to control the economic power, the purse strings, that is, the banks. This means cutting small business out of the loop.
But the Australian people have cried out and the Labor government policy for banking reform change has been heard. The question: Will it change the current trend on lending? To run the economy, houses must be bought. For houses to be bought, mortgages must be had. For mortgages to be had, banks must open the spigot. It would be in the government's best interest to do this, because as money flows back into the hands of the people, property investment and furnished rentals for people who are just getting back on their feet will probably increase. If competition returns to the mortgage market, it could keep rates in a fixed spectrum and allow more newly employed and cash flow enabled consumers to start spending money on housing again.
The people who have the greatest chance to profit from this are property investors. Apartments and complexes are perfect for those who are just getting back up after an economic fallout. Hopefully the government and business interests have the foresight to see this. Comments? Thoughts? The people need to be heard. Let's talk about it.

Why Not Consider Apartment Accommodation in Sydney?
If you are spending a week or two in Sydney, you might want to consider staying in apartment accommodation in Sydney. You can often get a one-bedroom apartment, with separate lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen for around the same price as you would pay in a hotel, particularly for longer periods.
There are many serviced apartments in Sydney which are perfect for holidays. You can even find them right on the harbour front with incredible views, although be prepared to pay more for these! Imagine sitting in your own apartment, looking out onto the Opera House and Bridge – a real holiday to remember!
Many apartments are part of a hotel complex, which means that you get the flexibility and spaciousness of an apartment with the facilities of an hotel – daily maid service, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Many people think that serviced apartments are just for business people – but this is just not correct. They are suitable for leisure travellers just as much; travellers who are looking for a little more space and comfort than an hotel can provide.
Whether you are looking for an apartment near the Rocks or the beach; or the suburbs such as Coogee, Chatswood or Parramatta, there is bound to be something for you. What is more the huge range of serviced apartments in Sydney means that you can find a budget apartment or a luxury apartment, however much you have to spend.

Time to Relax in Furnished Apartments
For any visitor to Sydney, there is a huge range of hotels to choose from, budget to luxury to backpacking. One option that many people don’t even think of, though, is furnished apartments to rent in Sydney.
Why don’t they think of it? Partly because they assume that it is a very expensive option and that they will not be able to afford it. Partly because they think that these are used mainly by business people.
They are wrong on both counts. Furnished apartments in Sydney are a perfect place to stay in for your extended holiday, particularly if there are a group of you travelling to split the rent. They are readily available in just about all of the suburbs and they are a hugely comfortable option in comparison to a hotel.
Let’s face it, many visitors to Sydney will be coming for a few weeks, to make the most of what the city has to offer, and this is too long to spend in most hotels. Apart from the cost you can never be truly at home in a hotel, whereas with a furnished apartment you are in your Australian home-from-home.
I would advise anyone heading off to Sydney to check out some furnished apartments – just compare them to an hotel; you never know - you might be pleasantly surprised.

Has the live music scene died in Sydney?
Is it just me, or does it seem like the heyday for live music in Sydney is on its last legs? I remember the days of going to the pub on a Friday night to grab a beer and listen to a local band, but now it seems those nights are long gone.
First off, it feels as if the stages and areas for bands to play in are disappearing, as the ever popular poker machines are taking up more and more of the already limited pub space. While these games can be fun, throwing a few coins into a one armed bandit gives these bars a more seclusive atmosphere as patrons have less of a reason to talk to one another.
Next, there's a new push for public noise laws here in Sydney, making noise after a certain time of the night illegal. So while old favorites like the Lansdowne and the Annandale are still rocking through the night now, they're currently being threatened by these so called "noise pollution" laws. Live music is essential to local bands, and giving in to the influx of poker machines and noise laws will only ensure that we may never have another INXS or Midnight Oil ever again.

What Party Do You Vote For?
The State Elections are coming up here in Australia, and once again we're saddled with the decision to vote with the Labor party or the Liberal party. Personally, I've been sticking with the labor party for years but lately I can't see much of a difference between them and the centre-right liberal party. Both seem to be working with large corporations and turning a deaf ear on the beliefs and needs of the people, and appeasing everyone instead of standing with their principles.
When I vote, I want my politicians to believe what they say, not to go with what is "politically correct" just to get re-elected.
All of this, though, leads me to believe that we may not need a state government here in Australia. Maybe it's time for a more localized election system, with townships leading themselves, although the lack of a central government does put a bit of fear in my heart.
It's essential to keep order, but we also need to be able to elect people who will truly represent our needs and the needs of the continent. It's an interesting discussion, to say the least. What party would you vote for, dear readers? Do you think the parties are too similar?

What Everybody Ought to Know About Prices in Sydney

If you are considering a move, or a visit to Sydney, you should be aware of the cost of living in this city. Sydney used to be thought of as a cheap place in which to reside, or vacation. Not anymore. As of 2010, out of the top 214 cities world-wide, according to Mercer Surveys, it ranks 24th, with even Melbourne less costly. New York City, by comparison is 27th. Housing costs, transportation, food, clothing and other goods and services, plus entertainment are the guidelines used to determine this.
You will need approximately $2100.00 AUD to establish yourself in an apartment. A vacationer, staying in a 3-star hotel, will have to fork over anywhere from $95.00 to $300.00 per night. Parking, is extra.
Transportation in Sydney, is mainly by car, but with petrol running approximately $113.5 cents per litre, consider riding the bus or the train. A seven-day multiticket is $ 41.00 at the Cityrail station. The ferry is reasonably priced should you wish to sight-see or commute.
With regard to food, staples such as eggs are priced at $4.15 a dozen. Two liters of milk, $3.52; bread, $3.73; roast beef, $11.38 for 1 kg; bananas, $3.00 for 1 kg; instant coffee, $7.41 for 150g; and a box of cereal is $4.07.
Some examples of clothing costs, which may stop you cold, are: a man's dress shirt, $113.00; flip flops, $28.00, or a pair of Reeboks, $140.00 to $425.00. However, relative bargains can be found in certain other areas of the city.
For that night on the town, movie tickets are $17.00; a cup of coffee, $3.00, and a visit to McDonald's or KFC between $5.00 and $12.00. Expect to pay between $35.00 and $45.00 for two at a midrange restaurant. Take-away can be a less-expensive alternative.
Generally speaking, Sydney is an expensive city in which to live. Keep in mind, too, that health care costs come out of your tax dollars, so that all may benefit. Be prepared to tighten your belt.

Finding the Best property in Sydney for Sale

If you have already tried finding the best property in Sydney for sale, then you know that housing prices are a real concern. Sydney has been reported as the most expensive housing market in the nation. Prices in Sydney average 20% above other areas. The outer areas of the city are the most affordable. You will want to avoid the CBD (Central Business District), where prices will be the steepest.
If you are finding the best property in Sydney for sale as an investment, then you need to be concerned with income potential. The chief question here is how much rent will the landlord be able to charge monthly, for the potential property? You want a desirable location and design. This will enable you to charge the most rent. Getting a terrific deal on a piece of investment property is not a fantastic deal unless the rent potential is strong enough to not only offset the cost of your mortgage each month, but allow you to turn a profit.
Unless you wish to invest in property in order to provide housing for others out of a sense altruism, you are going to want to make money from your investment property. Also, consider the cost of maintenance, upkeep, and operating costs of the property, as well. All of these costs have to be factored in when calculating your potential profit. However, demand for rentals is high in Sydney. There are no signs of that slowing down any time soon. The current housing shortage is at about 30,000 units in Sydney.
If you are interested in finding the best property in Sydney for sale as a means of finding a home for yourself, be prepared to search for some time. It may take a while to find a property you can afford comfortably. Sydney is a desirable place to live so you may be in competition with other buyers.

Advice for Selecting an Executive Furnished Rental in Sydney, Australia
Have you landed the dream job of a lifetime? Are you traveling to Sydney, Australia on business? If so, then this article will offer you some advice for finding a great rental option you can enjoy.
Did you know that hotels can cost your business more than rental properties? In addition, hotels often lack the basic necessities one needs while away on business. A hotel room typically does not have a washer and dryer, toaster, and other necessary appliances. On the other hand, a rental property is usually fully fitted with every appliance known to mankind. It is better to choose a rental property over a hotel room for cost, convenience, and location.
After making the decision to get a rental property, one should look through the properties that offer executive furnished rentals Sydney
When considering the details of your rental property, first consider what is most important to you on this business trip. Is location important? Then first look for a property with a great location. Is it important that the furniture appears sophisticated? Perhaps you will even be hosting business meetings with other employees at the rental property. Then, look for a rental property with an updated and chic appeal. Often, most rental properties have modern furniture that is so appealing, you will want to take it home with you! Or, better yet, you will simply want to live at the rental property forever.
Lastly, you should consider the appliances and amenities that are included with your rental property. Be sure that a rental property includes every appliance that will be needed for your business trip. Perhaps you simply want to wake up and cook breakfast in the kitchen with a stove and oven. Perhaps you want an iron and ironing board to get your clothes ready for the day. In addition, maybe you want access to a pool, spa and gym. Many rental properties include these "extras," it is just up to you to know what you want.
These are a few tips a business professional should consider when finding their dream rental property.

Tips For Finding Apartment Rentals In Sydney

Trying to find the perfect apartment rental to suit all of your needs and still fit your budget can be a bit of a stressful situation at times. If you happen to be searching for a new place to live, there are some tips and tricks that can help you to find great apartment rentals in Sydney both quickly and easily.
Try to set your apartment rental budget ahead of time and decide if you want to rent a furnished apartment or go with the non furnished rental . It can be very easy to get swept up in fancy apartments during your search. If you have already set your mind on a certain price range, it will be much easier for you to resist getting involved with an apartment that you cannot afford in the long run.
If you have someone that you know that lives in an apartment that you enjoy, you can always ask them if there is any availability in the same complex. Getting a referral from a friend is a wonderful way to find a place to live. Your friend will be able to talk candidly with you and tell you all of the pros and cons about where they live. Listen to the information that they give you carefully and take it all into consideration when making a decision if you would like to move to the same place.
If you are unable to obtain a word of mouth referral from a close friend or family member, you still have plenty of other options available.
You may want to try taking a drive around the specific area where you would like to live. Many times when there is an apartment for rent, you will find a sign placed out front of the building. Typically, there will be contact information listed on the sign so that you can call and ask any questions that you may have about the available rental.
For those who are fortunate enough to have the internet at home or at a local library, you can always go online to find great apartment rentals in Sydney. Your favorite search engine is a great place to start! You will find that there are apartments available in a wide range of prices.
Be sure to look into the accommodations that the apartment complex offers to residents. You may be more interested in an apartment complex that offers a gym, tennis courts or a pool. You may be asked to pay a bit more rent in order to receive these extras, so when renting the apartment you will have to decide what is worth the extra fees and what is not.
If you are interested in renting an apartment, always take the time to do a walk through in person. By seeing the apartment rentals in Sydney yourself, you will be able to make a well informed decision on whether or not you would like to live there. It may take a little bit of time and effort, but before long, you just may be signing the lease to your perfect apartment!

A trip up to the Blue

BB has just returned after enjoying a few days in the Blue Mountains which is about 2 hours drive west of Sydney, and stayed a lovely two bedroom cottage with family in Katoomba. Although a bit a chilly, the weather was very kind with plenty of sunshine to enjoy the magnificent views in both Katoomba and Leura. Having visited the blue mountains a few times in the past, The Three Sisters always impress as does the Aboriginal dream-time story behind it.

How Could You Make an Apartment in Sydney a Gift

How Could You Make an Apartment in Sydney a Gift
We know that Hotels all over the world do vouchers for accommodation to act as a gift for that special thank you or occasion. Furnished apartment rentals is also an option to look at when searching for that gift for someone. A friend from Holland was in Sydney recently and I was chatting to him on the phone before he arrived about where he would be staying and considering his length of stay in Sydney was two weeks, I suggested an apartment instead of a hotel. Why? Staying in a hotel is fine for a few nights however 2 weeks can be and get a bit cabin feverish. My friend is Italian and loves to cook and when he invited me up to the apartment he was renting he did thank me for the apartment suggestion. I thanked him for the pasta!

Just a little note to say we really enjoyed our recent stay at the Harris street apartment (January 14th to 21st 2009)
The property was simply wonderful and the little welcome pack was an added bonus.
The location is ideal for getting about and as you told us, just minutes from Sydney’s CBD.
Having DVD's was great when returning at night and snuggling down to watch a movie with a bottle of wine. Thanks for the complimentary bottle by the way, nice touch.
We will tell all our friends and will spread the word for you.

FP needs more properties.
Why is it so busy in terms of Sydney furnished rentals and why is everywhere fully booked. Vince, James nor myself are complaining as we are fully booked across the board, however it is frustrating that we are saying no far more than yes. We need more one and two bedroom furnished apartments in the Sydney CBD.

A great live act back in Sydney.

When you think of great Scottish bands, who comes to mind? For me it is the old brotherhood of Jim and Charlie and the band Simple Minds. They will be playing the Lyric Theatre in Star City Casino on 25 March. From the classic album New Gold Dream from 1982 to the critically acclaimed 2009 album Grafitti Soul, this will be a show sure to please.

Sydney Apartment Accommodation
A good read on the FP company below. More to the point an article.
Sydney Apartment Accommodation
Corporate travellers staying in Sydney for an extended length of time need something more than a hotel room with a mini bar. The common comforts of home will make this time out of the country easier and more pleasant during your stay. Instead of a hotel, consider securing Sydney apartment accommodation. A fully furnished apartment with a separate bed and living area, as well as a fully fitted kitchen will save money in the long run, and make your extended stay much more enjoyable.
The first step in securing lodging is to locate a rental company in Sydney. An internet search will deliver information on multiple resources. Furnished Properties stands out from the rest because unlike the rental agencies in the area, Furnished Properties owns a number of the apartments. This means to you as the customer that they can guarantee the same level of service and quality for each property they rent. They can speak with confidence about the modern furniture, the cleanliness of the apartment, and the functionality of the appliances. Agents will have immediate information about what is available because there are not a mass of rental agencies working to rent out the same properties.
Sydney is a wonderful city, and you will want some time to explore a little, so Furnished Properties will see to it that your kitchen is stocked with the basics when you move in, orange juice, coffee and tea, and bottled water. In house cleaning is available on three levels; an agent will cover pricing with you at your request. Every apartment has cable TV and a plasma television, and wireless broadband modems. Internet connection is available at a rate of $5.50 per day in Australian currency.
Furnished Properties can offer more than just Sydney executive accommodation. Sydney will be a much more enjoyable experience if you are armed with a little bit of information. The staff at Furnished Properties will be sure that you are equipped with the information you need to navigate the city successfully, from currency information to bus schedules to great places to eat. Your Sydney apartment accommodation will come with high quality service to make your trip a success.
